NOTEPUNK · BETA
Your notes and privacy
NotePunk turns handwritten pages into searchable notes and optional actions. This page explains the data involved so you can decide what to capture and share.
What is stored
Your account profile, uploaded page images, extracted text, generated assets, conversations, notebook organization, preferences and processing history are stored to provide the app. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; app data and images use the configured PostgreSQL database and Vercel storage.
AI and connected services
Images and text are sent to the AI providers used by the selected feature. These can include OpenAI, Mistral, Anthropic and Google. Your connected Google account is used for Calendar or Tasks actions you request. Email actions use the app’s configured mail provider. Each provider also handles data under its own policies.
Sharing and actions
Notes are private to your account until you share them. A public link can be forwarded. Passwords, expiry and revocation limit future access, but cannot recall a copy someone already downloaded. Review extracted text, recipients and action details before approving Magic Mode work. Syntax Mode treats explicit command notation as your instruction to execute it.
Retention and deletion
Unsubmitted uploads expire after seven days and are removed by scheduled cleanup. Saved notes and images remain until you delete them. Trash and revision history support recovery. Account deletion disables access first, then cleans up stored files, billing and identity; the status remains pending while work or external cleanup is unfinished. A minimal deletion record is retained to prevent old sessions from recreating the account.
Offline captures
Pending captures may be stored on this device. They are bound to the account that captured them. Use the pending-capture controls to retry, download or discard them, especially on a shared device.
Questions or corrections
Send private feedback for privacy questions, problems or data requests. Operational backups and provider retention may require additional follow-up. This beta page will be updated as the service changes.
